Identity design for a minimal architectural firm based in Tokyo.
The Challenge
Mono Architects wanted a brand identity that reflected their philosophy of "negative space" and brutalist simplicity. They needed a system that could work across large scale signage and delicate business cards without losing impact.
The Solution
The identity is built around a custom variable typeface that expands to fill the available space, metaphorically representing architecture occupying a void. We paired this with a monochrome palette and raw paper textures to emphasize materiality.
